Fortress System Guide
Overview
Fortresses are strategic military installations that clans can capture and control in the world of Lineage 2. Unlike castles, fortresses are smaller but more frequent siege targets, offering valuable benefits to controlling clans. The Oasis Interlude+ server features a fully implemented fortress system with two main fortresses available for conquest.

Fortress vs Castle Siege Relationship
Separate Systems:
Castle Sieges: Happen every 2 weeks on Sundays (different castles rotate)
Fortress Sieges: Happen weekly (Tuesdays and Fridays)
Different Requirements: You can't own a castle while participating in fortress sieges
Strategic Connection:
Castle | Related Fortresses |
---|
Aden Castle | Narsell Fortress, Basin Fortress |
Oren Castle | Ivory Fortress, Cloud Mountain Fortress |
Giran Castle | Valley Fortress, Tanor Fortress |
Innadril Castle | White Sands Fortress, Aaru Fortress |
Goddard Castle | Borderland Fortress, Western Fortress |
Rune Castle | Swamp Fortress, Demon Fortress |
Schuttgart Castle | Archaic Fortress, Monastic Fortress |
How They Work Together:
Territorial Control: Fortresses act as "domain" and "boundary" fortresses for castles
Strategic Positioning: Controlling fortresses gives advantages in castle sieges
Economic Benefits: Both provide revenue and clan benefits
Different Schedules: They don't conflict - fortresses are weekly, castles are bi-weekly
Key Differences:
Aspect | Castle Sieges | Fortress Sieges |
---|
Frequency | Every 2 weeks | Every week |
Duration | 4 hours | 2 hours |
Complexity | Multiple phases, artifacts | Single phase, barracks |
Requirements | Clan level 5+ | Clan level 4+ |
Ownership | Can't own castle + fortress | Can't own castle + fortress |
So while fortresses are part of the overall siege warfare system, they operate as independent weekly events that complement but don't directly interfere with the main castle siege cycle. They're more like "mini-sieges" that provide additional territorial control opportunities between the major castle sieges.
